When it comes to the UK market and cloud telephony, standing still just isn’t an option. Organisations in the UK are definitely ahead of the European curve when it comes to seeing the benefits of moving voice to the cloud. Cloud telephone penetration is currently at 14% in the UK, with expectations that this will increase to around 20% in 2020. This is fueled by the market drivers of companies stepping up their digital transformation programmes and BT switching off its ISDN network.
So, how is NFON responding and staying ahead of the curve? Well, in the last 12 months we have had a host of exciting product developments, which are truly putting us to the front of the pack.
Last year we announced our newly developed telephony solution, Cloudya, which provides an integrated user interface via one single login. It’s an important milestone in the history of the NFON Group. It is setting an example in the European market and laying the foundation for dynamic and constant development on the way to comprehensive UCaaS offerings from NFON AG – including screen sharing, chat and video.
We have also recently announced Nvoice for Microsoft Teams. This combines two communication platforms into one offering: Microsoft Office 365 with Microsoft Teams and Cloudya. We also unveiled NCTI Pro, a new desktop PBX CTI solution that allows users to integrate Cloudya communications processes with existing CRM applications such as Salesforce and SAP.
With these exciting product developments, we truly believe we are in the right place, at the right time, with the right product. We can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store, as all IP also provides the foundation for new cloud services, such as collaboration services, which will facilitate a new world of work.
